About Me

Hey there! This is me: Mäisy (pronounce: macy). I'm a freelance editor and a creative writing teacher at a university, living in Northern Germany with my fiancée, our two guinea pigs, and about 50 indoor plants 😊 I'm happiest when I'm hiking through nature – preferably forests – or stuck between the pages of a book, a chai tea in one hand, an almond chocolate chip cookie in the other.

I started this blog in 2013 when I was studying Creative Writing, and ever since then it has always been a place where I "collect" pieces of my different passions in life, such as
experimenting in the kitchen, reading, learning about healing yourself, and exploring my own path in life.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND ON THIS BLOG
  • Easy & healthy recipes that are vegan or plant-based
  • Homemade natural beauty ideas
  • DIY projects for your home and homemade gifts for friends and family
  • Ways to simplify and "healthy-fy" your life
  • An introduction to alternative medicine, natural remedies and how-tos
  • Input on self-love and empowerment
  • Inspiration for when you feel sluggish and in search of a little dose of motivation or uplifting
  • and a few other random things :)

My personal passions (and topics on this blog) currently range from plant-based and refined sugar-free eating, to Ayurveda, homemade skin care products, homebrewing (kombucha 😍), vegetable gardening, medicinal herbs as well as pagan seasonal festivals. I’m especially passionate about reclaiming my natural feminine roots, exploring plant magic and other "old ways".

    1. Hi Julie, thanks so much for your sweet comments! Your blog looks lovely! I'm afraid i don't have any social media for Becoming Alice other than Pinterest, so the only way to stay in touch with me would be via email or Google+ i suppose...? i'm sorry -.- i should probably promote my blog on Twitter and Facebook and such but... haven't got around to it yet. it's a shame really.
      xx maisy
