3 Spring to Summer Transition Outfits

reading time: 2 min

I'm finally back with another blog post! :) And I'm having so much fun with outfit posts lately.

This one is the fourth and final part of my transition outfit series, and it's probably my favourite of them all because I went out of my comfort zone a bit, and I also shot with three different photographers (my uncle, my boyfriend, my mom) at very different locations which was a new and very positive experience for me as well. I feel much more comfortable in front of the camera now, and I've explored a bunch of new spots in my city in the process.

Here are 3 spring to summer outfits that incorporate my go-to clothing essentials for this time of year.

(1) Denim Dungaree

What screams summer more than a pair of short denim dungarees?! (not just for toddlers, haha! but honestly, wearing these made me feel like going to a festival - or to kindergarten, lol) On warm spring days like these I wear my distressed dungarees with a striped long-sleeve top and some white canvas shoes. For hotter days I switch out the long-sleeve for a white spaghetti top (or a bralette), and opt for white birkenstocks instead of my sneakers.

dungaree: Denim Co. (thrifted)
striped top: ? (thrifted)
canvas shoes: Uptown (thrifted)
white top: ? ("inherited" from my granny)
sandals: ? (thrifted)

(2) Young & Wild

I love graphic tees for the summer! Unfortunately the only one I have so far is this girl power t-shirt which I absolutely love. When it's still a little chilly out, I pair it with a chambray blouse, skinny jeans and my trusty black sneakers. For a more summery version, I replace the skinny jeans with a pair of shorts, tie a knot on my t-shirt, and wear espadrilles (or regular sandals) instead of sneakers.

t-shirt: Gildan (thrifted)
chambray blouse: H&M (thrifted)
skinny jeans: Yessica
sneakers: Nike ("inherited" from my granny)
shorts: H&M (thrifted)
espadrilles: borrowed from Mom

(3) Denim & Lace

White dresses and a good old jean jacket are the ultimate early summer essentials to me. For those chilly summer nights I like to pair my lace dress with a more chunky denim jacket and my white canvas shoes. When the sun is out I skip the jacket, and switch out my shoes for sandals.

dress: H&M (thrifted)
denim jacket: H&M (thrifted)
canvas shoes: Uptown (thrifted)
straw hat: borrowed from my Mom
sandals: market in Morocco
