3 Christmas Outfits | Day To Night

reading time: 3 min

Um, can you believe that Christmas is in four days?! Four days!!!

Hope you are all enjoying your festive preparations for the weekend (I hope I'm not the only one behind on getting gifts for my relatives?!). I know I can't wait to drive down to my family and eat ridiculous amounts of food :)

When it comes to my personal style, I tend to stick to the basics – so a neat skirt or dress, woollen sweaters, and comfy pants. These outfits are therefore centred around a basic black skirt and a Christmas sweater, as well as some festive accessories. So here's what I would wear for Christmas during daytime, on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Morning. Enjoy!

(1) Lunch with the Girls

This first outfit is great for a casual Christmas day look, where you want to be comfortable but still put together – for example when you're going out to lunch with your girls, or your boyfriend. For this outfit I paired my black skirt with a reindeer sweater, black fleece-lined thermal tights, black ankle boots, and a festive red coat. I finished off the look with a high ponytail and a black cross body bag.

TIP: Swap the skirt for a black skinny jeans if that fits your style better.

skirt: H&M (old but a basic)
sweater: H&M (last year)
coat: United Colors of Benetton (thrifted)
boots: Atmosphere (thrifted)
purse: ? (snitched from my room mate)

(2) Christmas Dinner

Since Christmas Eve is the main holiday in Germany where we get together as a family, sing in front of the Christmas tree, and exchange gifts, I always go for a slightly more dressy outfit that night. This year I'm going to wear my black skirt with a black lace trimmed top, polka dotted tights, black wedge heel boots, and a loose burgundy sweater on top for more warmth and cosiness – and to hide my food baby after dinner, lol! For accessories I went for classic pearl earrings and a burgundy red hair bow. A dark berry lipstick completes the look.

TIP: Put your hair in a half up bow, like so – for that Christmas present vibe 😜 (mine didn't turn out as pretty as you can see above, so I decided to stick with the hair bow instead, haha!)

skirt: H&M
top: Mango (thrifted)
sweater: Tchibo (thrifted)
wedge boots: Görtz (old)

(3) Lazy Morning

Last but not least, the morning after. This day is all about being cosy, drinking hot cocoa, and cuddling on the couch with your loved one. To keep things ultra-chill I usually put on my favourite grey thermal leggings (of course track pants, a cute onesie, or classic printed pyjama bottoms also work great for this), my reindeer sweater, and a pair of thick cosy socks. The best way to truly embody laziness... cute laziness 😉

TIP: Opt for some cute fuzzy reindeer slippers instead of socks!

leggings: Janina (old)
sweater: H&M (last year)
