reading time: 1 min
Longer, windier, colder, and wetter days are ahead. With a chill creeping into the air, leaves turning, and summer fading away. Perfect reading weather.
Here are my favourite four all-age all-time books that are enhanced by the atmosphere of autumn:
Wildwood, Colin Meloy / Carson Ellis
The Name of the Wind, Patrick Rothfuss
The Book Thief, Markus Zusak
Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn
For me personally the vibes of fall time and upcoming Halloween are sort of murky and twisty, so what I like to read during this time tends to be deep and dark as well. Perhaps even slightly creepy. Or hopelessly romantic. Oh well... sigh.
What are your favourite books for a rainy autumn day? I'd love to know!
BTW I talk more in depth about Wildwood 1, 2 and 3, The Book Thief and Gone Girl in separate blog posts, if you want to know a little more about these books.
