5-Minute Chocolate Orange Truffles (vegan)

reading time: ca. 1 min

Vegan, non-dairy Chocolate Orange Truffles with 3 ingredients

[This will seriously take you only minutes to make!]

Preparation time: 5 mins
Main ingredients: dried fruit, cacao, oats
difficulty level: easy
makes: around 15 truffles
suitable for: vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free, nut-free, paleo, raw food, and delicious "even so"

This was created when i was walking into the kitchen last week, hungry but too lazy to make some proper lunch, and craving something sweet.
A few minutes later i was sitting on the couch & snacking on my improvised chocolate truffles. Yum-yum!

Ingredients

about 2 tbsp oats (use gluten-free if gluten is a problem!)
1 1/2 tsp shredded coconut
1 heaping tsp raw cacao powder
a dash of orange juice
3/4 cup dates, soaked in warm water if not soft enough
1/2 cup raisins

Instructions

Super easy to make: Simply toss your ingredients into a food processor or a high-speed blender and process into a chunky, soft, moldable mass. Then form into little ball shapes between your palms. And done! That's it. The perfect snack.

Refrigeration is not mandatory, but i would keep them in the fridge for around 30 minutes to firm up until they're ready to be eaten.

You could also roll the freshly formed truffle balls in cacao powder or coconut shreds until well coated and set aside. Should be stored in the fridge, lasting at least 1 week.
