Best Books To Read In Winter

Now that the world is turning colder and darker once again, what could be better than curling up somewhere snugly with a good book?

Keeping it short and crisp today, my favourite four all-age all-time winter reads include:

A Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin
The Hobbit, J.R.R. Tolkien
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, C.S. Lewis
His Dark Materials, Philip Pullman

What are your favourite books for a cosy winter's evening? i'd love to know :)

Only ten days until Christmas, it's crazy...
Wishing you a wonderful 3. Advent ~

    2. Best series ever, but be careful when ordering kindle versions. The version I bought left out a couple of books from the series. It's about a hilarious gal growing up in Canada in the late 1800s, and it's ridiculously fantastic. Merry Christmas!!

  2. I love His Dark Materials, too and I was wondering about A Game of Thrones the other day... I felt a bit discouraged by its size but I might pick it up again.

  3. I'm sure you will love A Game of Thrones. It's quite a huge series, you're right, but "luckily" you can only stick to Book 1 since it doesn't really end with a cliffhanger. But yeah, the first one is still quite a bulky book... If you do check it out, let me now what you think! Have a lovely Christmas Eve ~ Maisy
