December Essentials /13
reading time: ca. 1 min
Oh my god. Seven days. I feel like a little child, jumping up and down on my bed, waiting for Santa to climb down the chimney. I should not be this excited for Christmas, lol. ― Okay, so it's Decembrrrr and time for my essentials for this month. Guess what they are going to revolve around? Yeah. So if you hate anything related to Christmas, this is probably not for you. sorry.
Just like candles, white fairy lights make your room look festive without much effort. Hang them up on the wall like i did, above your desk, all over your bed, window frames, curtain rods, bookshelf, Christmas tree, or just put it into a jar like so.
This gorgeous deep burgundy red velvet skirt is one of my most recent and most beloved purchases. i love it so much i could wear it all day! It is rather short, high-waisted and flowy.
I'm thinking about wearing it for Christmas Eve. What do you think? Yes, no, maybe?
Yeah, i'd love to style the skirt the way these two fashion ladies up there did it, but, well, let's face it, i'm not a supermodel and i don't have adorable clothes to die for, so i'll have to work with what i got - which in this case was a simple black top and a long golden necklace featuring a fragile leaf skeleton. Why don't i own a cute cream blouse? That would be perfect for Christmas! Oh well. I'll have to think of something different then...
My favourite food for cold months is - obviously - hot chocolate. This particular one doesn't contain any milk, not even non-dairy milk, but still tastes frickin' delicious. The recipe for this yum spicy chocolate as well as two other wintry drinks i'm going to upload this Friday - so keep your little eyeballs ready for that :)

Last but not least: There's nothing better than snuggling up in a blanket on your sofa and reading a good book while sipping hot chocolate. The heart-warming adult fairy tale Little King December by Alex Hacke and an adorable picture book like Pettson and Findus at Christmas by Sven Norquist (the bonus book seen in the picture on the right is only available in Swedish or German, i'm afraid) are two perfect little books to read before going to bed.
