Strawberry Sunday

reading time: ca. 1 min

I'm proud to announce that I came to accomplish one of my tasks from Day Zero Project yesterday:
strawberry picking

Sweet, right? (seewhatididthere) Yeah. Guess what I ate for breakfast today. And for lunch. Aand... no, I'm only joking. or am I?

Anyways, this weekend I went to visit my little brother (he's way bigger than me, who am I kidding, but still he's my little brother) and we decided to go strawberry picking since he happens to live in a village near a big strawberry field.

As you can see below, this year's summer decided to behave like April: rain-swept, foggy and cold. Not exactly the perfect strawberry-picking-weather, but that didn't really bother us. We wanted to go strawberry picking, so we did. Wearing rubber boots. Yep, that's how we roll.

Food Porn (feat. fresh fruit)

“We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allows us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available. We are very good at preparing to live, but not very good at living. We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma, and we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on. But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive in the present moment, the only moment there is for us to be alive.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh

To compensate the rather informatory blog entries lately, today's post will be kind of an intellectual softdrink. A little bit of sweet fizz. Not much text, mainly pictures*.
Prepare to be hungry :)

Cleansing Detox pt. 2/2 (drinking right)

reading time: ca. 2 min

EDIT: since a lot of you guys seem to click on this blog entry, i decided to update the layout and text to current status! ~

I'm gonna be honest with you: I hate drinking. When i was younger, i often had very red, dry, chapped lips. It hurt like crazy, especially while laughing, and it didn't look cute at all, trust me!

So if you wanna have satiny kissable lips and all that, there is no way around lots and lots and lots of drinking. But how?

Here are some tips that helped me change my habit towards drinking more:

Cleansing Detox pt. 1/2 (eating right)

reading time: ca. 4 min

Detox, Detox, Detox... it's everywhere, especially after New Years and when  summer & days at the beach are close.

Not many things have been as popular and controversial as detoxing.

Personally, i do not believe in those popular fruit juices (that only removes the fibers and spikes your blood sugar) - instead i highly recommend eating whole fruits and juicing vegetables. High water vegetables such as celery, cucumber, carrots, beetroots, leafy greens, with added ginger, lemon water etc, are perfect for this.

That said, here are some of my tips for detoxing! (English version below)
